Stacey Dash’s Ruffled Grey Dress in “Single Ladies” Episode 1

It seems that my “Single Ladies” fashion recap posts have been received well. I’m excited about that! I love doing the research, and folks are hitting me up left and right with questions. I’m having so much fun with this and glad ya’all are too. *smile* So most recently folks have taken it back a few episodes. Style Me Prissy readers Verlaine and Ava both inquired about the one-sleeved, laced up, little grey dress Stacey wore in Episode 1. (Actually, the comments referenced the little “blue” ruffled dress Stacey wore. It does look a bit blue in the video – so hopefully I identified the right one).
The cap sleeve mini dress is bandage-style with a peplum on the hips. Of course, the bandage style is what gave it away for me. I did a little research and found out it’s Hervé Léger by Max Azria from Fall/Winter 2010.

Zoe Saldana wore the dress with pewter Ferragamo heels to Bing’s Celebration of Creative Minds June 2010.

Eva Longoria was also spotted rocking the dress with navy YSL heels on a shopping trip around Cannes at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival in May.
I think the little hip adornments are cute. This dress seems to be especially flattering on those who are a tad slimmer in the hip, as it gives the illusion of curves. Well color me biased, but I think Stacey wears this look best. That woman knows how to rock a sheath dress! Once again, I have to tip my hat to stylist Anthony L. Williams for another hot fashion pick! Thoughts?

Ruffle on the hip is just not something I would ever do. I think it makes all of these women with gorgeous bodies look like they have tummies, no?
With my hips the last thing i need is any additional fabric drawing attention (lol). But yeah, i did notice that they all looked like they had a bit of a tummy. Is that the ruffles doing it, or the bandage-style that does that? I think Eva Longoria looks the worst in it, next is Zoe, and Stacey is darling.
